In the heart of Kwa Zulu Natal, near the town of Estcourt, lies Slievyre Game Farm.  The farm is privately owned and extends to approximately 2,500 acres.  All of the land is African bush which is home to numerous species of antelope, such as kudu, impala, nyala and blesbok as well as giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, ostrich and a myriad of smaller animals and birds. 

Accommodation is in renovated farm buildings that date back to the 1800's and afford the guests comfortable lodgings in peaceful surroundings.  Capacity is up to 12 guests. 

There is a large outdoor swimming pool with an adjoining children's pool. 

Slievyre is ideally situated to explore numerous attractions including:

• The Drakensberg - this mountain range has been awarded World Heritage Site Status on account of its, biological diversity, endemic and endangered species, superlative beauty and the bushmen rock paintings. 
• The Battlefields - this historic region contains the most important sites of the Anglo-Zulu and Anglo-Boer conflicts.
• The Midlands Meander - this is a self-guided vehicular tour which takes you to many independent art and craft shops where you can purchase anything from ice cream to hand made leather goods, local curios, glassware and clothes.
• Durban - this city is known as South Africa's playground with the balmy Indian Ocean forming the city's backdrop.
